Canada’s Federal Court ordered the government of this country to make a final decision, at most within 60 days, regarding the temporary residence visa application file of Nasser Mansour Shariflu, a senior executive and former specialist in Iran’s nuclear industry. The ruling was issued after the applicant’s visa request had been suspended for more than 900 days in administrative cycles due to security checks. The case is ongoing while Canada’s security agencies have put thousands of related applications from relatives of the Iranian government under scrutiny and have canceled hundreds of visas.
