The Turkish government has detained members of the LGBTQ+ community and activists in this field as part of a campaign titled “My family is safe,” a campaign the government says was designed to protect family values.

During judicial investigations against LGBTQ+ rights associations and activists, at least 60 people have been detained.

After these arrests, police intervened at protest gatherings held in İzmir and Istanbul. In addition to Turkey, calls for holding supportive demonstrations were also issued in various places around the world.
