Based on information received by Iran International, the death sentence for Mehran Babamir, Ehsan Amiri, Farid Khaldi, and Saeed Noroozi—four of those detained in the protests of Dey in Lordegan—has been confirmed on the charge of “moharebeh”.
Earlier, the death sentence of Ali Rahimi Rigy, 32 years old, had also been confirmed, and thus the number of detainees from the Dey protests in Lordegan who face the risk of execution has reached at least five.
In the case of Ali Rahimi Rigy, the lawyer introduced by the family was not allowed to enter the case, and he did not accept the court-appointed lawyer and defended himself personally. The defense briefs submitted by him and his family were also not reviewed.
