Ahmad Bakhash-e Ardastani, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said in an interview with Elina that Iran and the United States do not have any desire to enter a long-term war, but he claimed that the main axis of differences between the two sides has shifted from the nuclear file to the Strait of Hormuz. In another part of the interview, Ardastani said: “Now is the time for Iran to build a nuclear bomb,” because, according to him, Iran has paid many costs and faced many conflicts. In response to the possibility of the formation of a global consensus against Iran, he said that, in his view, such a consensus exists as of now, and the United States and Western countries are also currently taking action against Iran.
