As of 07:05 GMT, the European natural gas index price, after compensating for the drop in trading from the previous day, rose by more than 4.5% and reached 46 euros ($52.5) per megawatt-hour. Iran’s state television, in a report, claimed that the vessel was targeted after it ignored warnings. Oil prices also increased, with the price of Brent crude oil, the global benchmark, rising by 1.2% to about $73 per barrel, the highest level in the past week.
