🇪🇺 Von der Leyen: Ten months ago, the European Commission put forward a proposal to suspend trade benefits under the EU–Israel Association Agreement. The proposal would have a significant economic impact, but it still remains on the negotiating table for the member states to vote on by an absolute majority. So the ball is in the hands of the member states. We put this proposal forward ten months ago. Last month, we reached an agreement on sanctions against the Israeli extremist settlers.
