PostgreSQL is the open-source database behind countless apps: posts, likes, points and game records all live in its tables. This track starts where the SQL course ends and teaches what makes Postgres special: psql, rich types such as jsonb and timestamptz, indexes and query plans, transactions and locking, window functions and full-text search, and running Postgres in production.
Everything is up to date for PostgreSQL 18, and every lesson is short, practical and checked with quizzes. The examples follow Nova, a made-up social app with users, posts, likes and game scores.
