Flutter and Dart

One codebase for iOS and Android.

Flutter is Google's toolkit for building apps from one codebase, and Dart is the language you write them in. This track starts from zero: Dart's essentials with null safety, then widgets, layouts, themes and state, then a real app that loads JSON from the internet and moves between screens.

The examples come from a small social app called Nova: a points badge, a post card, a like button and a leaderboard. Every Dart program shows exactly what it prints, so you always know what to expect.

  • Theme an app with Material 3 and lay it out right to left for Persian
  • Load JSON from the internet and show loading, error and data states
  • Move between screens and share state the simplest way that works
