🔻Jürgen Klopp attended a press conference of the Germany national team on Thursday wearing a cap with the slogan “One of 83 million people” and the Adidas logo in the colors of the German flag.

🔹In this regard, he said: “We have to find the pleasure of all this again. I hope that in the future I won’t have to talk about political issues. But I want to take our flag back; so that people feel happy and blessed in their lives in this wonderful country.”

🔹The head coach of the Germany national team said: “I don’t want to leave national pride to the wrong people. Doing this fills me with pride. When we spend time on football, it is supposed to create a sense of solidarity and make us feel better. We have to create such an atmosphere, but we also need people who will accept it.”

🔹Klopp’s appearance with this cap has been interpreted as a reaction to the political atmosphere in the country, after the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) won more than 43% of the votes in the state election in Saxony-Anhalt.

🔹Germany is going through a period of heightened political tension; the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) has recently won the state election in Saxony-Anhalt.
