The Financial Times reported that the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz over the past week, alongside the continuation of a 60-day ceasefire between the United States and the Islamic Republic, has increased by more than four times. Based on maritime data, the number of trackable ship transits—had fallen to one to two per day in much of the crisis—rose to eight cases on July 1. However, the volume of passage is still far lower than pre-war levels; when about 135 ships passed through the route each day.
