At the order of the Commander-in-Chief, the U.S. Central Command forces (CENTCOM) have begun further attacks against Iran in order to further reduce this country’s ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The United States holds Iran responsible for recent dishonorable incursions against commercial vessels and civilians who were freely transiting in this vital international waterway.
