The U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command has confirmed for the first time that a B-2 stealth bomber fired a Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) over the Pacific Ocean.
According to the command, the integration of this missile on the B-2 had not previously been known to the public, and the bomber can now carry out anti-ship strike missions while retaining its stealth capabilities.
The report shows that the U.S. Air Force has gained the ability to conduct long-range, saturating anti-ship attacks directly from the U.S. mainland.
