The Foreign Ministry spokesman said Iran’s position on Lebanon is clear, and Washington’s commitment to ending the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon, under paragraph one of the memorandum of understanding, is important to Tehran.

Baghaei stressed that the United States must abide by its commitments and, if necessary, also compel Israel to implement them.

He added that, for the Islamic Republic of Iran, the party to this memorandum of understanding is the United States, and the benchmark for assessing Washington’s compliance will be the text of this memorandum itself.
