🔶 U.S. ambassador to Israel: Washington does not accept the “pragmatic” leadership in Iran without real change Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, said in an interview with The Jerusalem Post that the Trump administration remains committed to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and that it has not observed any meaningful change in the approach of the Islamic Republic. He rejected the notion that Washington has taken seriously the emergence of new “pragmatic” leadership in Tehran. When asked whether recent statements by U.S. officials in Israel have raised concerns that Washington’s approach to Iran could be changing, Huckabee said: “I don’t think so. I don’t think we’re seeing a change in approach.” He emphasized that Donald Trump has been completely clear in his position regarding Iran. The U.S. ambassador to Israel said Trump has repeatedly stated clearly that Iran should never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. He added: “They won’t be able to remain a threat to Israel and the United States.”
