Citing the media office of the presidency of this country, the Syrian official news agency (SANA) reported that Macron will go to Damascus with a delegation made up of investors and representatives of French companies. According to this report, in addition to bilateral relations, the two sides will also discuss regional and international developments. If the trip takes place, Macron will become the first leader of a European Union member country to visit Damascus after the fall of the government of Bashar al-Assad in 2024.
