🔶 Forecasts of the next heatwave in Germany While Germany is still grappling with the aftermath of the first heatwave, forecasts point to the return of very hot weather in the coming week, from 6 to 13 July (15 to 22 Tir). Based on current estimates, in the first half of the week, the heatwave is likely to intensify first in France and then may spread to the United Kingdom, Belgium, and the southwest of Germany as well. In the second half of the week, this heat is likely to cover all of Germany. It is expected that, especially at the end of the week, temperatures in many regions will be between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius, and in some places they could even exceed that. However, the exact intensity of this heatwave is not yet clear. Some weather model scenarios have even shown temperatures as high as 44 degrees Celsius, though these estimates are considered among the extreme scenarios and their likelihood is assessed as low. These warnings come as Germany has recently just gone through one of the most severe heatwaves in its history.
