Donald Trump, the U.S. president, said at the Independence Day anniversary ceremony that the Islamic Republic “will never” obtain nuclear weapons and that this matter is “over.” While praising the U.S. armed forces, Mr. Trump said that today the Islamic Republic has neither a navy, nor an air force, nor air-defense capacity, nor the ability to launch and produce missiles, and nor effective leadership. Trump added that for the first time in three thousand years, the Middle East is on the verge of peace.
