Russia carried out its largest drone assault on Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday. The overnight barrage targeted Kyiv and other cities, underscoring the continuing danger to civilians as the war drags on.

According to Zelenskyy, dozens of drones were launched across the country in the attack. The strike added pressure on Ukraine’s air defenses and raised fresh concerns about damage to homes, infrastructure, and other civilian sites.

The latest escalation comes as Russia continues to rely on drone warfare to strike deep inside Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly warned that these attacks put ordinary people at risk and stretch emergency response resources in multiple regions.

Reuters reported the attack as the biggest drone strike of the war so far, based on Zelenskyy’s remarks. The scale of the assault highlights how the conflict remains intensely destructive, with civilians still bearing much of the cost.
