Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that officials of the Islamic Republic withdrew from the planned meeting with the American team. According to these remarks, Witkoff and Kushner, despite being in Doha, will not meet with Iranian officials.

The Qatari official also said that Iran’s frozen assets worth $6 billion have not yet been transferred to Tehran.

According to him, these assets were allocated under the 2023 agreement for the purchase of humanitarian goods.
