Apple’s next Pro iPhone may be headed for a bigger hardware update than usual, according to a new report. The iPhone 18 Pro models are said to add a periscope telephoto camera, which could improve long-range zoom performance and give Apple a stronger answer to rivals already using folded-lens systems.
The report also points to a new A20 chip built on a 2nm manufacturing process. If accurate, that would mark a major step forward in efficiency and performance, potentially improving battery life and helping the phones run more demanding features with less heat.
Design changes are also said to be in the works. The Pro models may get a refreshed chassis with titanium edges and slimmer bezels, signaling a more noticeable visual update than the incremental changes Apple has often made in recent years.
As with any early hardware rumor, details could still change before launch. Apple has not confirmed any of the reported features, and the final iPhone 18 Pro lineup may look different when the company eventually unveils it.
