British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the government will invest £64 billion to modernize the country’s nuclear deterrent.

According to Starmer, the funding will be used to build new submarines, develop a new independent warhead, and purchase 12 F-35A fighter jets.

He said the move is intended to preserve Britain’s role in ensuring its own security and that of Europe.
