🔺 International Energy Agency: Iran’s gas and power consumption will fall following damage from the war ▪ The International Energy Agency has predicted that electricity and gas consumption in Iran will follow a downward trend this year as industrial facilities are targeted. ▪ The prediction of a drop in energy demand by this institution comes while officials of the Islamic Republic have pressured citizens through various methods, including a significant increase in prices and even power outages. ▪ The International Energy Agency noted that Iran’s gas and petrochemicals sector suffered “extensive” damages as a result of a set of airstrikes. ▪ Several gas processing units at the Asaluyeh industrial complex were targeted on March 18, causing disruption to about 12% of Iran’s gas production—equivalent to approximately 100 million cubic meters per day.
