🔺14 government forces killed in Houthis’ attack ▪A military official aligned with the official government in Yemen said that Houthi forces supported by the Islamic Republic, in an attack in the south of the port city of Hodeidah, killed 14 government forces. ▪According to the official, Yemen government forces repelled the Houthis’ attack in the Hais area, south of Hodeidah, after several hours of fighting in the early hours of Saturday. He added that in these clashes, some Houthi forces were also killed or wounded, but he did not provide any figures. ▪The fresh fighting comes as Yemen’s war fronts have remained largely stagnant since the UN ceasefire in 2022. The Houthis have been fighting the Yemeni government since 2015 and still control Sana’a and a large part of the north, including Hodeidah on the Red Sea coast.
