🔶 Funeral prayers for Ali Khamenei’s body begin in Tehran The funeral prayers for Ali Khamenei’s body and the killed members of his family, following attacks by the United States and Israel, began at Tehran’s Musalla with the presence of some foreign figures. At the ceremony, representatives from several foreign countries, including Turkmenistan, Iraq, China, and Russia, as well as religious minorities and religious figures, are in attendance. Meanwhile, Mojtaba Khamenei, Ali Khamenei’s son and successor and the current leader of the Islamic Republic, has not yet attended the ceremony. In recent days, various state institutions have reported the closure of offices, holding costly and large-scale ceremonies, and also allocating public facilities and services to enable people to participate in events related to the funeral of Ali Khamenei. Based on the scheduling announced by officials, the funeral prayers for Ali Khamenei’s body will be held in several stages over consecutive days. It is planned that after the funeral procession of Khamenei in Tehran and then in Qom, the burial ceremony will be held next Thursday in Mashhad, but before that it will also be transferred to Najaf and Karbala in Iraq.
