Yuri Ushakov, a foreign policy aide to the Kremlin, says Trump and Putin, in the call made on Saturday, July 4, discussed ways to end the war in Ukraine as well as Iran and the Middle East. According to Ushakov, Trump, during the nearly 90-minute phone call with Putin, stated his willingness to mediate in order to end the war in Ukraine. Zelensky also says he had a “very good” conversation with Trump, during which he called for “decisiveness” from the United States to end the war. The President of Ukraine said: “There is a real prospect for ending this war, and American decisiveness along this path will be decisive.”
