The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, condemned the repeated incursions of the Islamic Republic against this country. The statement said that the repeated incursions by the Islamic Republic constitute an “obvious” violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, international law rules, the Charter of the United Nations, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817. The Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that these “brazen incursions,” at a time when regional and international efforts aimed at reducing tensions are underway, are considered to undermine those efforts and deal a blow to the international will supporting this course. The Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the sovereignty of this country and the safety of its citizens are a “red line,” and emphasized that it has the inherent and legitimate right to take all necessary measures to preserve sovereignty and support security and stability. On the morning of Wednesday, 17 Tir, the Islamic Republic claimed that, in response to U.S. attacks, it targeted 85 military targets of the United States in Bahrain and Kuwait with missiles and drones.
