PHP runs on the server: a request comes in, PHP builds the page or the JSON, and sends it back. It powers WordPress and Wikipedia's MediaWiki, and modern PHP is typed, fast and pleasant to write. This course starts from zero with PHP 8.5: scripts, variables and strings, arrays and loops, decisions and typed functions, then forms that are safe from XSS, classes and enums, database queries with PDO prepared statements, and a first look at Composer and Laravel. A last module goes further: sign-in with sessions, JSON APIs, tests with PHPUnit and a complete Laravel app.
Every example is small, and every output is traced line by line, so you always know exactly what to expect.
